Junior Organisers Diary

Membership forms for 90 children have now gone out together with a book of raffle tickets which parents have already paid for as part of the membership fee.  I’ve given just over three weeks for the membership forms to be returned and then I’ll see how many new members we can take on.

I do know that we have vacancies for children in Year 4 so I’ll be sending flyers to local schools to say that.

The sun has just come out and with the season only a few weeks away we’re all looking forward to making a start.

Junior Organisers Diary

February 2012

Preparations for the new season have started and I’ve recently attended two league meetings to express our interest in playing in the leagues.  I’ve entered the Under 15s in the East Shropshire Cricket League and they will play on Sunday afternoons and the Under 9s, Under 11s, Under 13s and Under 15s in the Staffordshire Youth League.

I’ve booked Wolverhampton Grammar School for six Saturday morning sessions starting 18 February, but I could do with a few more players to sign up.  Please contact me as soon as possible.

Junior membership forms will be going out soon to last season’s players and at the moment it looks like we could with a few more children in Year 4 to boost our numbers.

I’ll be having a look at our cricket kit, including balls to see what we might need and stock up as necessary for the younger children.

We shall need volunteers to collect the weekly coaching fees on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I shall be advertising around the club, elsewhere on the web site and in the Newsletter a little later on.  If in the meantime you know of someone please let me know.
